Our reputation for efficient and reliable car servicing started back in 1950 and the only thing that’s changed is the technology now required to service today’s vehicles. We continually invest in state-of-the-art kit and there’s nothing that a main dealer has in its arsenal that we don’t. And if your car is under warranty, don’t worry. New block exemption rules mean you can bring it to us and know, with certainty, that we’ll service it at the recommended intervals and exactly to the manufacturer’s specifications; all without affecting its warranty.

As well as block exemption servicing, Walsgrave Garage offers three in-house service levels. These are:

• Oil Car Service – recommended every year or 10,000 miles
• Interim Car Service – recommended every two years or 20,000 miles
• Full Car Service – recommended every four years or 40,000 miles.

Oil Car Service includes:

• Replace oil
• Replace oil filter

Interim Car Service includes:

• All service items included in Oil Car Service
• Check timing belt replacement interval (where applicable)
• Check for damage to bodywork, lamps, trims, and oil level
• Fit protective covers
• Check operation of interior and exterior lights
• Check operation of ABS and airbag warning lights (where applicable)
• Check windscreen washers and wipers
• Check horn
• Apply Forté treatments to remove internal contamination
• Check cooling system including fan operation
• Check and record anti-freeze protection
• Check and record brake fluid condition
• Check power steering operation and fluid condition
• Check and top up all under bonnet fluid levels
• Fit new sump plug washer
• Check fuel lines and brake pipes
• Check the condition and security of the exhaust
• Check all steering and suspension joints, mountings, and gaiters
• Carry out tyre report
• Check all wheel bearings for excessive ‘play’ and noise (adjust)
• Check CV gaiters and joints for wear or splits
• Check operation and condition of front brakes
• Carry out brake report
• Refill engine with specified grade oil
• Torque wheel nuts/studs
• Road test vehicle and report any findings
• Re-check engine oil level
• Ensure all upholstery, gear lever, steering wheel, etc are clean
• Stamp service book

Full Car Service includes:

• All service items included in Interim Car Service
• Check vehicle history
• Check condition and operation of all seat belts
• Check air conditioning operation including bad odour (where applicable)
• Check operation of suspension dampers
• Lubricate all door hinges, locks, and bonnet catches
• Check fuel cap
• Check all auxiliary drive belts (not timing belt)
• Check engine breather system
• Check vacuum pipes
• Check throttle body and clean if required
• Check battery level and lubricate terminals
• Replace air filter (where applicable)
• Replace spark plugs (where applicable)
• Replace fuel filter (where applicable)
• Replace pollen filter (where applicable)
• Check and top up axle and transfer box oil levels (where applicable)
• Check and top up gearbox oil level
• Check clutch cable/cylinder (where applicable)
• Grease all greasing points (where applicable)
• Check operation and condition of rear brakes (including handbrake)
• Carry out a diagnostic check where applicable (additional charges may be applicable)
• Reset service interval indicator (where applicable)
